Pie Face to launch drive through

Pie facePie Face will open its first drive through store in Australia this month, with plans to take the concept globally.

The food retailer’s drive through store at Nerang on the Gold Coast will be open 24/7 and have seating for 40 people.

“We have been working on this new store format for two years and it’s extremely exciting to see it come to fruition in Queensland,” says Andrew Lyme, commercial manager at Pie Face.

“We have two more drive through stores in the pipeline, one in Brisbane and another in Sydney, which we plan to open in the coming months.”

The US and New Zealand are also being earmarked for drive through, where Pie Face currently has six and one store respectively.

“The drive through store format will allow for peak trading in both the morning commuter rush, as well as the evening and late night day parts,” says Lyme.

Pie Face launched in Sydney in 2003 and has more than 70 franchise stores across Australia.
