Pizza Hut Australia has partnered with Visa Checkout to offer a new and secure electronic method of payment for online orders.

The move follows the company’s strong growth in digital and mobile commerce and is designed to create more convenience and choice for customers alongside regular credit card payments.

Customers create a Visa Checkout account using one or more credit cards. Once signed up, they then don’t need to enter credit card or address details each time they place an order.

Fatima Syed, head of marketing and innovation for Pizza Hut, said Visa Checkout is an easy and convenient option to offer our customers more choice in the way they pay.

“We have invested heavily to better our digital presence, this month launching significant upgrades to our online and mobile sites and new iPhone and Android mobile apps, making the ordering process easier and faster.

“We anticipate the number of online sales transactions to significantly increase before the end of 2015 as more customers defer to online, and the Visa Checkout partnership is another step forward in offering a greater digital experience to consolidate this growth.

“Pizza Hut is the first and only quick service restaurant to offer Visa Checkout, offering convenient online payment solutions to our customers,” she said.
