It’s now two weeks into the new financial year, which is just enough time for retailers to settle into a new regulatory environment.

Listen as Lamb provides her perspective on how the changes are being digested, as well as what the sector is currently advocating for.

According to Lamb, retail sector growth is likely to plateau before Christmas, with moderation in housing being a key risk for the sector moving into financial calendar 2018.

However, she doesn’t believe it’s all doom and gloom, noting the RBA’s decision to keep rates at historic lows as a boon to the sector.
