David Jones on Monday announced it has launched a new loyalty program called David Jones Rewards.
The program is a significant expansion of the retailer’s previous loyalty offering, which rewarded customers for using a David Jones-branded credit card from American Express.
The new program, which allows customers to earn and redeem points when they shop at the department store, is expected to help David Jones better engage customers and improve its multi-channel offering. And it’s a long-awaited answer to rival department store Myer’s ultra-popular Myer One program.
When done right, loyalty programs are a virtual treasure trove of customer insights, providing retailers with a wealth of information and ways to engage their most valuable customers. However, they can also be notoriously complex to manage and effectively integrate into a broader strategy.
