Reitzer backs FMCG start up

 

Former Metcash CEO, Andrew Reitzer,rangeme has been named as a shareholder in FMCG website, Rangeme.

The Rangeme website is a network of buyers and suppliers, enabling suppliers to pitch to Australian retailers and buyers.

Also joining Rangeme as a shareholder is Carly Shamgar, who will be appointed sales and marketing director, as well as joining the board of directors.

Rangeme launched in March and covers 30 national retailer groups that buy products for over 5000 retail stores.

Nicky Jackson, CEO and founder of Rangeme, said the funding provided by the new shareholders will allow the company to accelerate the building of a team in Australia to support category buyers and FMCG suppliers.

Reitzer was CEO of Metcash from 1998 until June 2013, and will act as an advisor to the business.

Shamgar is an experienced sales and marketing media executive. Most recently she was a founding employee with Nicky Jackson at Healthshare Digital. Before Healthshare she worked for Bauer Media Group (The Australian Women’s Weekly) and  NewsLifeMedia (Australian Good Taste Magazine) in developing advertising solutions for suppliers across FMCG, pharmaceutical, and beauty.
