CBRE has appointed Ross Siciliano to a newly created role of head of retail shopping centre leasing Australia.

The appointment coincides with CBRE Australian Retail Services group’s new leadership platform, with sector specific leaders for retail brokerage leasing, large format retail, retail shopping centre leasing, and retail tenant representation.

Retail brokerage leasing is headed by Leif Olson, retail tenant representation is led by Tim Starling, and large format retail is under the leadership of Chris Parry.

Siciliano was previously a senior project leasing executive for QIC, and was primarily responsible for the redevelopments of Woodgrove Shopping Centre and Eastland Shopping Centre in Victoria.

Siciliano has also held senior roles with Mirvac as regional leasing manager Victoria, ACT, and Western Australia, and JLL as national portfolio manager on the ISPT Retail portfolio.

Alistair Palmer, national director of CBRE’s retail services group, said Siciliano will be responsible for shopping centre leasing in both new projects and existing centres nationally, with a key priority being the delivery of St Collins Lane in Melbourne consisting of more than 60 shops.

“Ross will also seek to forge a strong relationship with our retail investments and retail asset management teams to ensure we foster relationships with shopping centre owners and grow our retail asset management portfolio,” Palmer said.

“With a focus on growth and new forms of business revenue, our new leaders will be tasked with growing retail tenant representation and shopping centre project leasing whilst enhancing delivery within our existing service lines of retail brokerage leasing and large format retail,” he said.
