Rip Curl expands airport format
Rip Curl clearly believes airport retailing is a lucrative core business.
The surf brand has just opened its eighth airport retail store in Sydney’s Virgin Australia domestic terminal (T2) – an 86sqm flagship for its airport format.
Describing the new store as “a globally designed retail space”, Rip Curl says the shop will provide “an engaging shopping experience for visitors and passengers in one of the busiest airports in the world”.
Rip Curl retail GM Natalie McLean says the company will provide “a complete retail experience” to domestic travellers passing through Sydney airport.
“With our full range of Rip Curl products available we’re confident the store will prove a success in the Australian market.”
Rip Curl “Search products” will feature heavily in store, driven by Mirage ultra-flex boardshorts, My Bikini swimwear, surf and fashion watches, eyewear, luggage and all other products targeted at today’s ‘urban surf traveller’.
