Robins Kitchen in administration

robinsRobins Kitchen has been placed in voluntary administration by its directors.

The retailer operates 55 stores in Queensland (36), NSW (18), and the ACT (1). It has 300 staff.

Administrators are reviewing the financial status of the business, including a potential restructure and sale, or alternatively, an orderly wind down.

All stores are expected to remain open until at least Christmas Eve.

John Park, Kelly Trenfield, and Quentin Olde of FTI Consulting are the voluntary administrators.

“We acknowledge that the timing of voluntary administration so close to Christmas is going to create additional uncertainty for employees and customers, which is difficult and unfortunate for all. It is our intention to work with all parties in an effort to minimise this impact where possible,” Park said.

Directors said the appointment of administrators was made after full consideration of the holding company, Lineville Pty Ltd’s obligations and duties to ensure it acts in the best interests of employees, creditors and other stakeholders.

A telephone hotline, 1800 307 717, has been established for consumers and other stakeholders.
