Stockwell turns sod on $55m Flagstone Central project

The first sod has been turned today on the construction of Stockwell’s $55 million Flagstone Central project in Queensland.

The ground-breaking ceremony marks the beginning of the construction of the latest retail and commercial development in Flagstone with a gross floor area of 8900sqm.

The 3500sqm Woolworths-anchored project will include 20 specialty shops, 10 professional suites, a petrol station and fast-food drive through.

“Flagstone Central is one of two shopping centres currently under construction in Flagstone,” according to Stockwell. “This shows the need to provide amenity for the community in one of the fastest growth corridors in Queensland.”

Dan Cuda, Stockwell’s general manager for Commercial Property Management & Leasing and other Stockwell representatives, officially turned sod to commemorate the start of construction.

This retail project will be Stockwell’s 21st retail project in Queensland and is expected to open June 2020.
