Stolen jewellery recovered

 

jewellery, store window, blingMillions of dollars worth of rings, necklaces and precious gems stolen from homes across Brisbane in the past four years have been discovered at a jewellery shop.

Queensland detectives say they found 2000 stolen jewels at an Inala jewellers in Brisbane’s southwest.

It’s alleged the jewellery was taken from homes and some businesses across Brisbane as far back as 2010 and as early as this year.

Police estimate the haul is worth about $2 million.

A police spokeswoman said the thieves allegedly sold the items to a jeweller over an extended period of time.
