StoreMatch: the ‘Uber’ for retail

storematch-advertorial-imageThe site acquisition process for retailers is something out of the stone age. The outdated method is time consuming and costly.

Enter StoreMatch, an innovative cloud based leasing platform that allows landlords and retailers to upload their information confidentially in order to find matches for site vacancies. Retailers upload their growth strategies and specific information about each site they require such as size, usage and region (from major shopping centres to strip locations). Landlords enter their available sites, which then syncs with the retailers’ data to create automatic matches between both parties. Only when a match is made that the parties are aware of each other’s information.

The website is the first of its kind, and is pioneering a digital approach to the deal making process between landlords and retailers. “It just makes things easier,” founder and director of StoreMatch Jon Sully comments. “And most importantly quicker. If you get a match on the site, you instantly are notified and given the contact information of the other party, so you can go straight into negotiating the deal.” For what could sometimes take months for a retailer to find an appropriate site, could now take only seconds. And the best part? It’s free for retailers.

The platform is revolutionising how landlords market opportunities, while retailers acquire new locations for not only growth but to exit underperforming stores as well.

Since launching at the end of October this year, StoreMatch currently has 125 retailers presenting over 12,173 site requests, with 38 landlords entering in a 37 per cent match rate for vacancies.
