Amart Sunshine Coast HomeAventus Property Group (APG),will this weekend open the doors to its $12 million refurbishment at Sunshine Coast Home. Three new tenants also opened in the $85 million retail centre including Amart Furniture, World Gym and Sheridan.

The 27,000sqm retail centre comprises a mix of 33 retailers including Beacon Lighting, Pillow Talk, Petstock, TK Maxx, JB Hi Fi, Chemist Warehouse, Oz Design, Adairs, Super Cheap Auto and BWS.

“We have been working on the refurbishment for many months which will add significant value to the shopping experience at Sunshine Coast Home,” said Adam Trent, head of development for Aventus Property Group.

“It is also pleasing that three major retail names are also part of the grand opening. Sunshine Coast Home is one of the company’s core assets in Queensland, and we are proud of what we have achieved here since acquisition.”

“The Maroochydore store is a significant addition to the Amart Furniture network,” said Scott Pears, chief operating officer for Amart Furniture.

“Customers will enjoy the new location which offers affordable and stylish furniture. Since the 1970s, Amart Furniture has had a strong presence in Queensland. Our store in Warana continues to be one of our busiest.”

World Gym co-owner Benny Elias said it’s the fitness brand’s first location on the Sunshine Coast and 28th nationally.

Over 2,000 people have already pre-registered to join us, which is a new record for the business and a phenomenal result. More than $3 million has been spent on the state-of-the-art facility, which is also the first in Australia to include an outdoor Ninja section,” he said.
