Super Retail Group’s Kevin McAulay moves on

supercheap autoSuper Retail Group general manager, marketing and communications, Kevin McAulay, will leave SRG next month.

Inside Retail understands that McAulay tendered his resignation on good terms in March and is moving on to pursue new business interests.

Over two stints, McAulay served Brisbane-based Super Retail Group in various roles for the better part of 10 years. From 2006-2008 he was marketing manager of SRG’s BCF brands, and for the last seven years has served as GM, marketing and communications, for SRG.

SRG CEO, Peter Birtles, told Inside Retail that, instead of a direct replacement for McAulay, the functions of the general manager, marketing and communications, role will be split. The digital side of the role will now sit under the newly broadened role of CIO. SRG is yet to name someone to the CIO role.

SRG counts amongst its brands Supercheap Auto, Rebel, Ray’s Outdoors, Amart Sports, BCF, and Goldcross Cycles.
