Sydney Airport welcomes global luxury brands

Kate Spade New York to open at Sydney Airport T1 InternationalInternational fashion brands Kate Spade and Michael Kors will join luxury jeweller Tiffany, in opening stores at the revamped T1 international luxury precinct at Sydney Airport early this year.

Opening in the first half of 2016, the new luxury brands will join a collection of 13 other global designer brands at the airport.

“By welcoming Kate Spade New York and Michael Kors to T1, we are creating an enviable luxury shopping opportunity for our international passengers, with some of the most recognised brands in the world,” said Sydney Airport general manager for retail, Glyn Williams. “T1 will be the only airport destination in Australia where passengers can shop for these flagship brands.”

The Kate Spade New York store will offer women’s accessories and handbags. Michael Kors will carry a mix of accessories from the Michael Kors Collection plus watches, jewellery and eyewear.

Williams said the new luxury precinct in the T1 Departures terminal  “will soon showcase a vast selection of premium brands with new and on-trend luxury products and accessories across fashion, technology and lifestyle. We look forward to announcing the rest of the retail line-up very soon.”

T1’s luxury precinct will be complemented by a new food and dining precinct and enhanced duty free offering with partner Heinemann.
