Taking a piece of Australiana to the UK

BHBrenden Hartmann, general manager for online Australian swimwear brand Budgy Smuggler, is taking a piece of Australia across the pond.

He and partners Jarred Allen and Adam Linforth are betting that UK shoppers will react strongly to their unique retail concept, despite the chilly European weather.

It’s a big move for the brand, but it isn’t the only thing on the plate. Hartmann has plans to open a physical store in his hometown of Manly, with an eye on a grand opening sometime during the coming summer.

Listen to this week’s podcast below as Harmann discusses how Budgey Smuggler has carved out a place for itself in Australia’s retail landscape.
