Ted Baker’s first Australian outlet stores

tedbaker1Ted Baker is opening two new stores, with locations in Sydney and Melbourne representing the first outlet ventures by the British retailer in Australia.

“We are delighted to announce opening of two new Ted Baker stores down under”, said Ted Baker founder, Ray Kelvin. “Along with the recent launch of www.tedbaker.com/au/, the opening of these stores shows a steady expansion that we would love to continue, so watch this space over the next few years,” said Kelvin.

The two new outlets take the total of Ted Baker stores in Australia to eight. Sydney’s Homebush outlet, set over 1250sqft of retail space opened on November 20. The store design pays homage to the local culture and environment, with the nearby floating shipwreck in Homebush Bay reflected throughout the store.

Melbourne’s Essendon will open on December 14 and occupies 1909sqft of space. Inspired by the British village that the suburb of Essendon is named after, the store design draws on aspects of Essendon’s local pub, English township and alehouse.

Both stores feature the Autumn/Winter ‘14 men’s, women’s and accessories collections.
