Temple & Webster’s new board member

 

schwatzTemple & Webster, as subscription-based homewares site, has appointed Carol Schwartz to its board of directors.

Schwartz is chair of the Women’s Leadership Institute of Australia, a director of Stockland, and Bank of Melbourne, and recently a founding board member of Scale Ventures among many of her other board appointments and roles within the Australian business community.

“I am delighted to be joining Temple & Webster as they continue to grow and be recognised as a revolutionary way for Australians to shop online for beautiful homewares,”Schwartz said.

Schwartz’s private investment group, The Schwartz Group, has also joined Macquarie of capital raising.

“Since Macquarie Capital’s investment in June 2012, Temple & Webster has undergone substantial year on year revenue growth of over 1000 per cent, with no sign of slowing,” Brian Shanahan, CEO of Temple & Webster,” said.

Launched in October 2011, Temple & Webster has more than half  a million registered members and was recently named as a Rising Star in Deloitte’s 2013 Tech Fast 50.
