The Iconic signs up fashion industry veteran

PAT_DONNA_1 copysmallFashion e-tailer, The Iconic, has appointed retail industry veteran Donna Player as an independent member of its advisory committee.

Player brings over 30 years’ experience, most recently serving as head of merchandise at David Jones where she was responsible for the department store’s key categories including apparel, footwear and accessories, both in-store and online. Prior to her time at David Jones, she held a wide variety of senior management roles across the retail sector.

“As one of Australia’s youngest, most ambitious and fastest growing retailers we are delighted to welcome Donna Player, a renowned industry veteran, to our Advisory Committee,” said Patrick Schmidt, CEO, The Iconic. “At just five years old, The Iconic will benefit greatly from her extensive experience and guidance as we approach exciting milestones on our journey.”

The pureplay retailer recently announced it had moved to a new 19,000sqm fulfilment centre in Yennora, NSW.

The centre is home to 700 brands and over 45,000 different products.
