Timezone to expand

Timezone3Timezone will open a new entertainment destination at The Strand, Coolangatta in summer 2016.

As the second location on the Gold Coast, the new location represents a milestone for the Timezone brand. Strategically located in close proximity to the Gold Coast Airport, the new destination will aim to attract both domestic and international visitors as well as local residents.

“With The Strand emerging as the ultimate dining, lifestyle and entertainment precinct in Coolangatta following the $60 million redevelopment, there’s no better place for Timezone to capture the growing family market,” said Sarah Clasen, The Strand marketing manager.

Timezone Coolangatta will offer guests over 200 of the latest games and attractions, including new titles in combination with classic favourites, dodgem cars and laser skirmish. Full size bowling lanes are also a feature of the new location.

Management will be lead by Juan Uribe, owner of Timezone Surfers Paradise. The Surfers Paradise family entertainment centre has expanded its size from 3400sqm to 5000sqm in recent years. The new Coolangatta location will add approximately 3000sqm to the beachside destination.

“We are excited to be providing more attractions for Southern Gold Coast locals and tourists visiting our spectacular region – and Timezone Coolangatta will certainly hit the top of that list for families,” said Clasen.
