Top year ahead
This year saw the first Top Juice stores open outside of NSW, in Victoria at Melbourne Central and Emporium. It also opened regional stores in the Illawarra and Central Coast.
Started in 2008 with a kiosk at Sydney Central Plaza, Top Juice has 33 stores, 13 of which are franchised. Two more are to open by the end of the year.
Barry Barber, GM of Top Juice, told Inside Retail PREMIUM the chain’s franchise program has “come to fruition” in 2014, after opening the first franchise store in late 2013.
He is expecting between 10 and 15 stores to open over the next 12 months, naming Sydney, Melbourne, and Queensland as priorities.
“We’ll continue growth in Sydney, but moving into Melbourne suburban areas is a priority for 2015 and we’ll probably open our first store in Queensland in 2015,” Barber said.
