Uniqlo confirms Gold Coast opening date

UNIQLO Australia_EastlandJapanese fast fashion chain, Uniqlo, will open its first store on the Gold Coast at the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Broadbeach on May 5.

The opening is part of a $670 million redevelopment of the Gold Coast centre that commenced in January 2014.

Set over 1094sqm, the Uniqlo Pacific Fair store will offer the full line-up of Uniqlo apparel for men, women, kids and babies.

Uniqlo Australia CEO, Shoichi Miyasaka, believes the new store in the Gold Coast will be well received by local and international shoppers.

“We are thrilled to bring Uniqlo to Gold Coast residents and for them to experience our product offering,” Miyasaka said.

“We’ve seen a very positive response by Queenslanders to our range of clothing and accessories so far and we’re confident that shoppers in the Gold Coast will fall in love with the brand too.”

The Pacific Fair store will be Uniqlo’s third in Queensland, following openings in Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, and its 11th Australian store.
