Uniqlo teams up with French fashion icon

UniqloJapanese fast fashion retailer, Uniqlo, have launched their 2016 Spring Summer collection, in collaboration with French fashion icon, Ines de la Fressange.

Uniqlo design director, Naoki Takizawa,  worked with de la Fressange in creating the collection, which integrates natural hues of beige, olives and rose within its colour palette.

“Ines first discovered Uniqlo when exploring the evolution of luxury clothing,” Takiwaza said of the collaboration.

“As an iconic designer at the cutting edge of fashion, she wanted to embark on a journey to help women discover the clothes they want to wear most regularly.”

The trans seasonal collection incorporates three lines including ‘Voyage’, a feminine styled safari offering; ‘Le Sport,’ an updated take on traditional sports club attire; and ‘Uniforme,’ a range incorporating de la Fressange’s staple jacket designs.

The collection is currently available online, at Uniqlo’s Emporium store in Melbourne, and the MidCity store in Sydney.

Uniqlo is a brand of Fast Retailing, one of the world’s largest apparel retail companies. Uniqlo recently opened its first Brisbane store late last year.
