Warriewood Square Shopping Centre redevelopment unveiled

_HAM6852Vicinity Centres and ISPT unveiled their first joint New South Wales redevelopment with the $87 million transformation of Warriewood Square Shopping Centre opening late last week.

The existing centre has undergone a transformation to feature a ‘relaxed coastal style’ throughout, in addition to creating approximately 8000sqm of new retail space.

The redeveloped Warriewood Square includes a brand new Aldi, over 30 new specialty stores, an expanded and upgraded Woolworths plus a latest design format Kmart. The number of car spaces has increased to 1450 with over 700 new undercover car spaces added.

The 18-month development project created 600 new jobs during construction along with 300 additional ongoing retail and hospitality roles at the centre.

“This modern, convenient family-friendly shopping centre now offers our customers greater choice and variety with more than 110 specialty stores and kiosks calling Warriewood Square home,” said Vicinity Centres director of development, Jon Savell.

ISPT’s general manager, retail services, Sam Curry, said: “The redevelopment has delivered great convenience for our community in particular the strong local family market. We’re proud to unveil features including a Vicinity Kids Play at the Square zone with a unique beach-theme, new parents’ rooms and upgraded amenities.”
