Windows celebrate food brands

Make my Magnum1Selfridges has teamed up with iconic food brands to produce artistic window displays for its flagship store.

The windows are part of Selfridges’ Meet the Maker campaign running from June 30 to September 1, which for the first time in the history of Selfridges, sees its windows decorated to celebrate the makers and producers of food and beverage products found in Selfridges.

All 24 windows are dedicated to food brands, including Patron, Magnum, Cannon & Cannon Fabrique, Meringue Girls, Camden Town Brewery, Cambridge Gin, White Lyan, Wayward Plants, Scott Hove, and Fernando Laposse, among others.

Selfridges says it has chosen brands that “define our food experiences, the way we farm, challenging our perceptions of art in food, but above all to showcase the best talent in food right now across all stores in the Food Halls”.

The department store has also played  host to ‘Meet the Michelins’, an opportunity to sample dishes from renowned English chefs.

Throughout the event, customers will experience more than 350 demos, instore sampling, and food events, from  daily demonstrations with top chefs to walking tours of the confectionery and food halls, as well as the introduction 500 new products to the Food Hall.

Seen by a weekly audience of over 1 million people, each window of Selfridges’ Regent St, London flagship will showcase food producers.

“Each window will be brought to life by artisan producers, creators, and food artists highlighting their art, whether it be a gin distiller to an artistic window made entirely of cake,” Selfridges says.

All the artisans taking part in the scheme will also display their products instore at Selfridges’ Food Hall, and will host evening talks.

Artisans include Cannon & Cannon Fabrique, Meringue Girls, Camden Town Brewery, Cambridge Gin, White Lyan, Wayward Plants, Scott Hove, Fernando Laposse.
