Woolworths expands Rewards options to Big W

Wolworths has expanded its Rewards system to its discount department store Big W ahead of the Christmas retail rush.

With the addition of Big W, Rewards members can now redeem Woolworths points at more than 2,500 stores across the Woolworths Group.

The expanded loyalty scheme will be welcome news to customers, with BIG W offering a wide range of Christmas decorations as well as confectionery and gift items.

Woolworths has also expanded options to redeem ‘Save for Christmas’ points, which allows customers to defer the $10 savings off their shops throughout the year for use during the Christmas period.

Members will now receive a prompt at check-outs to confirm when they can draw down on their banked points. Hundreds of thousands of Rewards members have banked more than $17 million in Woolworths points using the feature this year.

“We’re really pleased to add BIG W as a redemption partner on Woolworths Rewards, particularly as Christmas shopping starts to ramp up,” said Woolworths director of loyalty Ingrid Maes. “Budgets are often stretched at this time of year and we wanted to give our Rewards members greater choice and flexibility in redeeming their points across the Woolworths Group.”

“It means members can use their hard-earned points to buy a gift for a loved one at BIG W, some festive wine at BWS, or continue putting it towards the big Christmas grocery shop at Woolworths.”
