Yum beats expectations

  Yum Brands Inc, owner of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, says it’s made a profit of $US404 million ($A437.11 million) in the third quarter.The Louisville, Kentucky-based company on Tuesday said it had profit of US89 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were US87 cents per share.The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of US86 cents per share.
